The Story of Casa San Miguel
Inspired by my father, the proud owner of a successful bakery in Zacapa, Guatemala, my childhood was marked by the aroma of freshly baked bread and the hustle of artisanal work. Casa San Miguel was born out of that legacy. It is my way of honoring his dedication and love for the craft, while carrying forward the traditions he cherished so deeply.
Here, we don’t just celebrate the art of baking; we have also integrated Guatemala’s rich and vibrant traditional cuisine. From tamales to plantain rellenitos, we teach not only the recipes but also the stories behind each dish. Every class, every preparation, is a tribute to our roots and an invitation for others to become part of our culture.
My goal with Casa San Miguel is simple yet profound: to connect generations, preserve traditions, and share the essence of Guatemala with the world. This space is not just a kitchen; it’s a bridge between the past and the present, a place where every aroma, flavor, and smile tells a story.
